Default 1st mead batch? infected?

I decided to try my hand at mead

I did the following boiled
-4.5 gallons bottled water for 5mins
- let it cool to 190F
- mixed the following honey in
6 lbs Orange Blossom
6 lbs Buckwheat
3 lbs Carrot Blossom

Then I covered the pot let it cool overnight, then the must in a carboy and pitched 2 vials of WLP720 (Sweet Mead Yeast)

I have bubbling in the airlock (started 48hrs) later.

Now 4 days into fermentation. I see a huge mass floating

Honey & water have few nutrients; try adding some yeast nutrient & yeast energizer to your must, it should take off soon after. And be sure to give it all a really good stir to reintroduce oxygen, yeast need it at this stage. Regards, GF.

It may be yeast clumps, though it doesn't look great from those pictures. How does it smell? If it has an infection like scent, different then the yeasty sourdough smells of fermentation, you may want to rack it. You could rack it out of that carboy, just make sure to rack from underneath that top layer trying not to get any of that foam in the racking process.
Meads: Hababero and Sarrano Capiscumel, Show Mead possibly getting split and flavored, and 12 gallons of Bochet Deliciousness
Ciders:3 Ciders with differing additives TBD, Strawberry/Apple Cider
Wine: Black Cherry Vanilla Port

Looks like a clump of undesolved yeast to me. Shake the crap out of it...see what happens.
