Racking it into the jugs would be fine, but keep in mind this is essentially wine. If you had a 1 gallon jug of wine, once you opened it you would need to drink it all quite quickly. If you didn't you would end up with oxidized apfelwein and that will taste like cardboard. It is best to bottle it in smaller containers, more suitable for one sitting's worth of drinking.
