The recipe says .75 cups of corn sugar, but what's the process? Do I just rack the apfelwein onto the sugar in the bottling bucket, or do I have to boil the sugar in water. Please let me know ASAP so I can do this tonight.

THANKS!

Boil the sugar up in a cup or two of water, add to bottling bucket, and rack Apfelwein on top of it.

Make sure to use the correct bottles. DO NOT USE WINE BOTTLES!

I didn't, I used mostly beer bottles and then a couple of martinelli's bottles. Also, a big Anchor Brewing Christmas Beer bottle. It's about 50 oz!

Why not wine bottles? I was planning on using Grolsch bottles... glass with ceramic flip top lock down lid thingy... are they ok to use?

Flip top bottles are great to use.

Wine bottles can not be used for carbonated beverages because the corks will pop out and/or the bottles could explode as they are not made for pressure.
