finally got to use my turkey fryer after 3 weeks.
did this sierra nevada pale ale clone:
6.6 lb light malt extract(i went about 11lbs 2 row for all grain)
1.0 lb crystal malt(40-60l)
1.0 oz perle hops at 60 minutes
1.0 oz cascade at 15 minutes
1.25 oz cascade at 5 minutes
wyeast amercan ale 1056
1.0 oz cascade dry hop in secondary
ended up with 22 litres @1.051 in fermenter
pitched a 4 cup starter of 1056 at 3 pm today.
i can't find this beer in canada but you guys seem to rave about it so i wanted to try it.
will use the yeast cake from this for a hop rod rye in a few weeks.
beer, wine, cheese in various stages of production
