Have you opened the honey yet? Everything I've ever tasted out of an old pickle jar tasted like pickles. 14 pounds of pickle-honey would be a shame.

Yes it is!

I actully made this batch back in March and racked the first time in just over a month. Now its just aging and getting better
And no pickle taste :-)

I just picked up 4 extra corny's from a buddy, so I won't need this one for awhile. I'll probably bottle this next spring, then leave most till new years of 2010. In the mean time, I plan on starting a couple of smaller batches, now that I feel somewhat comfortable with the process.

Alright, I put a bee under my pillow last night, and to my suprise .... no Honey Fairly left anything at my door????? WTH?!

I think there is now a thread for that

Mead is safe and sound, slowly aging in the old brew closet. it will soon have 5 gallons of porter to keep it company for a short while.
