There's a FAQ thread on the beginners forum here.

http://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7909

Start with the "How do I get started" sub-thread.

Read Palmer's "How to Brew" (online--google it) and Maybe Papazian's The Complete Joy of Homebrewing. Lurk here for a little while (especially on the Beginners Forum), and you'll find all the info you need.

Wouldn this be a good kit? Or is it not worth 80 dollars?
