I want a hopped up coma inducing IPA. Lot's of hops and a high amount of alcohol. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you're asking for an extract recipe; both these suggestions are mini-mash.

One good idea is the hop rod rye clone that's been discussed for a while around here, over 7% ABV and plenty of hops. (there are at least 2 threads about this, one has a mini-mash version). I haven't brewed this yet but I've drunk plenty of the original. Not quite coma inducing, but the night I discovered it I would have been in big trouble if the pub hadn't been only 2 doors from my hotel.

My favorite that I have brewed is

I was going to say the same thing before I read esquimaux's reply. I second what he said. The Hop Rod is a monster, and the clone recipe makes a great beer. My variation on it is posted here:

If I understood the recipe posted by esquimaux it was just using some specialty grains that don't really need to be mashed per se. I'm also looking for something with a little more than 6.9% (This is the brew for my graduation weekend). I was wondering if adding more malt would need more hops? Would upping the malt to 10-12 lbs. requiring an increase in hops up to 1.5-2 oz. per hopping? Still trying to feel out this brewing thing, and not quite comfortable with the thought of completely creating my own monster.
