Has anyone here successfully installed a heater element to a keggle without having to weld a coupler? I have NO welding skills whatsoever and I just got a 5500w element for my keggle. I'm going to have to mount it sideways since it will stick out of the boiling wort if I put it in the bottom.

I'm having a hell of a time finding a 1" stainless steel nut! The only one I've found is this one but it's ridiculously expensive!

McMaster has it for $5 plus change, also. 4464K583

Edit: Never mind. Wrong search criteria. Here are the correct ones:
304 Stainless Steel 4464K586 $14.14
316 Stainless Steel 4452K676 17.05
