I found a 20 cubic foot CO2 tank at my local harborfreight. Looked about the size of a 5 lb tank. I have an aluminum 10 lb tank but want to use this as a spare. It is in the welding section and is steel. Will this work ok and about how many pounds is 20 CF of Co2 gas? Anyone know the conversion factor

One pound of liquid CO2 equals 7 cubic feet in its gaseous state. So I would say its a little under a 3lbs tank

a 20 cuft tank is 5 lbs of co2. most likely its an o2 tank though. the valve is different. any welding supply shop will change the valve for you, or just trade one with you.
