I'm confused here...
My first batch of beer was made using corn sugar as the starter. I was told to use that by the LHBS. I read afterward that it's not the best for taste... So I went to another LHBS and bought was I thought was the replacement, but now I'm not so sure!
I bought a 1Kg bag of Muntons Amber Dry Malt Extract. Is this the replacement "sugar" for fermenting? Or is this what I boil and add hops?
Just a little confused.
