Default Dry yeast Fermentis W 34/70

I got hold of an information, that commercial breweries can buy dry W 34/70 strain, not available for homebrewers (in 1 pound packages for ~$90).
We use it in liquid form, Wyeast Bohemian Lager or WLP German Lager. I wonder if the dry form is as good as liquid - is there any craft brewer here that uses this dry yeast, and is willing to share his experience?

EDIT: OK, I've found it in an archive:
