I found a 5 gallon granite ware stock pot, is this ok to boil with?

If you can find one of the larger one, like the 30 or 32 quart one for not too much more money get that one instead...like I said in the thread I saw one in my hardware store for about 30 bucks.

They're cheap, that's for sure. I did plenty of research on this when I was looking into buying my first brew pot not too long ago. I concluded that the graniteware would be a good choice if you know you're going to go for full-boils or all grain very soon and will be buying a large (investment piece) boiling pot, then using the graniteware just to heat sparge water. That said, as long as the enamel doesn't crack, you'll have a great pot to make beer with. I ended up getting a superpot (stainless with an aluminum core) and it works great on my weak electric apartment stove.
