I just heard an advertisement for a new brew cast on the Brewing Network, BREW STRONG hosted by john palmer and mr.malty (jamil). It sounds like a great hosting line up to me.

Good, I'm kinda tired of the hour long show that has 10 minutes of real useful info that you can now get in the book.

I've never been able to get into TBN shows...They're 80 percent idiotic banter, 15 percent of useless music breaks (this ain't commercial radio guys, you don't need to cut away) and 5 percent real brewing info...When I want to listen to a podcast about brewing, I actually want brewing information...That's why I like Basicbrewing radio, at least it's an hour of brewing info...

Hopefully JP/Jamil, will be better...

Revvy's one of the cool reverends. He has a Harley and a t-shirt that says on the back "If you can read this, the bitch was Raptured. - Madman

I gotta tell ya, just between us girls, that Revvy is HOT. Very tall, gorgeous grey hair and a terrific smile. He's very good looking in person, with a charismatic personality... he drives like a ****ing maniac! - YooperBrew

I listen to both podcasts and I like them both, but I have to say I respect BasicBrewing Radio a bit more. James Spencer isn't quite as arrogant as Jamil.

I like Jamil's approach to brewing a whole lot, and am really glad they're keeping him involved. It's clearly hard to do a show about every style, as the tricks to brewing the styles aren't that unique, so the info gets a little repetitive after a while. I don't so much mind the repetition though, as it keeps me from developing bad habits. I think involving John Palmer should be a good thing; the new show won't so much be Jamil holding court as a conversation between two expert brewers (even though Jon Plise has a lot of success in competitions, he still defers to Jamil on everything).

I think they're planning on having an expert guest host also. It should be a tun of useful info; a lot more technical info.

I enjoy the Jamil show with John, yes they banter but there is good information and for a newer brewer I really like hearing some of the specifics about each style.

It's not like our nugget for post ratio is stellar.
