I let it sit a few hours and now I have these strange off-colored patched floating on the top!

It looks like it could be a lactose infection to me, but I'm not sure.

That doesn't look good. It would be a shame to toss the whole thing but better safe than sorry.

You let it sit a few hours...from what? Did you JUST brew it a few hours ago? did you just rack to secondary a few hours ago?
bottled and opened a few hours ago?

not enough information provided to make any kind of judgement call on that photo. I say 'dirty coffee cup'.

Just a guess. Add less coffeemate to your "brew" and you'll avoid this in the future.
