Default Would this Work?

I found these right around the corner from me. Could I use this as a primary?

Well it depends on how you interpret this statement...

These barrels were used in a Pharmaceutical/Food Environment to ship many different types of drugs/food products, this is especially important if you suffer from medication and/or food allergy. They are cleaned and like new if you use them for food or water you are using them at your own risk.
Now they are foodgrade, if you could find them brand new, then yeah...

I've got one i use as a bear barrel for camping in the boundary waters (air tight). The one i got was from the pharmacuetical lab i work in - it contained a large plastic bag full of silica gel which is totally fine and i would use it for fermenting if need be. It totally depends on what each barrel was used for - you'd have to talk with someone directly who knows what was in it to determine if it'd be completely safe.

I have friends that have a few of these. They say they are awesome for icing down cornies and storing grain.
