Default High Pressure regulator stuck?

I was going to brew today and when I turned on my propane tank I heard propane coming out of the regulator. I turned everything off and waited for 10-15 minutes and tried again but no luck. I know these regulators are finicky but how do you reset one? I tried all afternoon to get it working and I finally gave up. I have only used this regulator for 2 brews so I hate to think its life is over. Any ideas?

(1 Timothy 5:23) . . .Do not drink water any longer, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness.

To reset it you should be able to just turn the reg all the way down for a couple seconds. You will usually hear a little click as it resets itself. When mine trips, I don't notice any gas coming out of the regulator.

turn the gas off then give it a light tap with the handle of a screwdriver. use the handle so there is no chance of spark. I have had this happen years ago.
