Guidelive is a BELO/Dallas Morning News thingy.

Article here.

The review speaks both GB and the dying brewpub scene in Dallas.

"The beers are crafted from just four ingredients – barley, hops, yeast and water – as required by the 500-year-old German beer purity law (now repealed) known as Reinheitsgebot. Ranging in style from the ultra-mellow Golden Export (similar to an American light beer) to the dark-hued but surprisingly light-flavored Schwarzbier (German for "black beer"), all are smooth and easy to drink but a little characterless. Possibly the most stirring is the Czech Lager, a medium-bodied pilsner with just a touch of spicy zip on the finish."

Hmm, I question their validity as proper beer judges.

Just came from a GB in NOLA, and if the one in Dallas is the same, I would have to say that it was pretty good IMHO.

SWMBO REALLY liked the Czech lager

Wow. Not a good review of the food. Should be at its best during the opening. They only briefly mentioned the beer and called it inauspicious.

With Dallas Morning News, the reviews can be hit or miss depending on who the writer is.
