There is this recipe in another section that looks great - I'm still an extrate person.

How would I convert this to an extract recipe???


Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: Nottingham
Batch Size (Gallons): 5.5
Original Gravity: 1.054
Final Gravity: 1.012
IBU: 22.7
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Color: 16.3 SRM
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 7
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14

1lb of grain = .75lbs of LME = .6lbs of DME. I would think you could convert the pale malt into LME or DME and steep the other grains.

AHH HAA!!!

There is the problem! WHEW

I kept thinking DME was grain (I know better then that) so my numbers were giving me like 11lbs of Extract and I KNEW that was not right!!

6.75 LME is more like it!
