As you may have read in the mead forums I am currently brewing up a small batch of a mead that will age for five years. It will be called "Het Vijfjarenplan" Which is Dutch for "The Five Year Plan" (Seeing s how I'm Dutch an' all...) The "1" in the bottom is to show what version of my five-year meads this is, the next version will have a 2 and so on.

Here's my first try, I made it using MS-paint since I don't have photoshop on this computer. I'm going to remake it in slightly higher resolution using a slightly more authentic font.

So?

that image is f'ing sweet, and your patience is commendable! dont think i could last 5 years to try anything. i look forward to seeing it with the more 'authentic' font, because i think that is the weak point of this label so far.

You do realize I didn't make the original picture using paint right? The original picture was made in the USSR in 1948 using, well... actual paint.

I removed the old dates and some communist bullsh!t at the bottom and added my own

Still a lot of work but not nearly as much

That is impressive!! I, as well, look forward to see it with a new font. If you do update the font, please post it here!
