I noted that I thought it was a mistake. [First tasting notes] I was so wrong at that time. BTW - 50% of the HB club thought it was cheating!!! I argued that it no different than FW hopping. Thanks for the congrats!!!!

Recipe looks good, so I start looking for the hops. The only place I see that says they have them is Northern Brewer and they're asking $4.25/oz. $17 just for hops! Have a better source? Or may be just file this one until prices come down.

Ahhh - $17 is pittance to have a really good beer. If you want to try a beer summit hops, try Flying Dog Pale Ale. I believe they use summit in this beer. It was what inspired this recipe!!

took me a while of looking at a few posts.

But SMaSH = Single Malt and Single Hop beer. Now, I'm with ya.

Sounds delicious too.

Same here, I saw the SMaSH, but didn't know what it was until I read this thread.

Sounds like a good idea.

Easily, triple the ingredients. Best to use software to make sure that everything measures out right. IBU OG, mash temps, water loss, and etc.

Use this if you don't have software. Http://www.recipator.com
