nope not German, but Russian. I'm not a huge Hefe fan, I have had a few I liked, but thats about it, nothing I would buy again. Well saw this at the store and it caught my eye. Baltika Wheat ale. Best hefe I have ever had, slight clove and bannana taste, with a spiciness background. Almost a creamy mouthfeel. Big head, with great retention. I want another.

Looks nice! The best one I've had so far is Paulaner... I haven't really tried many of these but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for this one.

I would have to say this one kicks Paulaner's butt, or any other German Import I have had.

Where'd you find this beer? I'd definitely be interested in trying it.

It was just at a local liqueur store. Defiantly worth a try, it was cheap also, I think it was 1.25 for the beer.

Is the wheat one the same one you tried?

I don't know if you have BevMo stores around, but it looks like there are quite a few Baltika beers to try. That porter looks good too.

I've seen that hanging around my local beer store, I'll have to check it out.

+1 Sicher!

Besides, I could never drink a hefe with a ceiling fan blade sticking out of it.
