Default Would you drink this

I have a bunch of Grains and Hops that I want to throw a quick recipe for this weekend.

7lbs of Maris Otter
2lbs of Crystal 40

1oz Columbus Hops (60min)
1oz Tettnanger Hops (10 min)

have no Idea how it will turn out but I guess it worth a shot.

Cut the crystal a little . . .

But yes, I'd drink that as is.

I'm getting a 11.7 SRM on Pro Mash, but my hops I'm worried about

I may just use .75 oz of Columbus for (60 min)

this gives me 49.5 and I may use Crystal to finish it off with.

It is shaping up to be a English Extra Special Bitter with a mixture of hops.

I would absolutely drink that.

2lb of crystal 40 is a LOT though, it's gonna taste like... well, crystal 40. I could eat that stuff raw though, so your recipe looks great to me.

sure, why not?

Looking at it though, you're at about 70 IBUs for a 4.5% beer (4.5% at 80% efficiency even!) That's going to be really bitter. I would consider scaling that back a bit.

If they were MY ingredients, I would throw the hops all in at 10 minutes or less. Do a hop burst. It can produce some interesting results. You'd be well within the style guidelines of an american pale at that point.
