Rust on heating element, is it OK? [picture]

Hi,

I have just mounted this is a stainless steel tank:

But after heating only pure water once, and draining the tank, the day after it looked like this:

Is it ok, or should I send it back?

it's fine. It is actually mineral deposits from your water. Mine looks the same at times.

Thank you for the reply, maybe it will look better when I start boiling acidic beer
