What do you think? I looked it up and it's capable of handling 190F water, so for $39 shipped I think i'll ram boiling water through it and see how it does. My water boils at 205f so it's only 15 degrees. Hopefully it will take it.

Will you only be pumping water? With all that sugar the wort will probably boil at a much higher temp... No idea what though...

That pump will never work... I'll be a nice guy and take it off your hands so its not just cluttering your garage. Nice score!

If you upgrade the pump head itself, you could pump boiling wort. Otherwise, reserve that for either pumping lot liquor or the mash. Good stuff.

Yep, you can just replace the head for $27 if you want. Great steal!

That will work for sure with that motor? That's awesome, as I was going to be using it to push wort through my cfc for now. If I do try out this one and trash it, will I only be hurting the head?

I thought at first they had the same motor housing but after looking at them I don't think so. You could call and talk to someone at march pumps to make sure or see if they've got a high temp head you can order.

You're absolutely correct, im screwed. I called march pumps, and the head is not compatible, they have a 200f head, but tech support said boiling wort would kill that head as well. That sucks. I couldn't have used it for my cfc anyway's, he said you need a 1/2 line feeding it or the pump would be starved, my cfc is only 3/8.
