I have another post where someone posted the link below where they experimented with a split batch fermenting a lager at 50 and 70 degrees respectively.
The general consensus was most people couldn't even tell the difference.
Coincidentally enough for me I will be doing a split batch this weekend and will be using the Safale w34/70 yeast to try this experiment.
My question is about doing a diacetyl rest. If I plan to ferment at say 68 degrees do I still need to do a rest? Or is that a non-issue because at the higher temperature I am fermenting at?
