I just made a Cherry Ale with cherry pie filling in the primary and whole pitted cherries in the secondary. It has a kinda metalic taste not very strong but it is there still. Could this come from the cherry pie filling out of a can or canned cherries? never had this taste in any beer?

Any thought on the metalic taste.

I've never had any experience using fruit in my beers, but maybe the BJCP troubleshooting guide might help you narrow down your problem: http://www.bjcp.org/study.html#trouble

I didn't see anything about metallic tastes at first glance, though.

Still don't know if that points to the cause.
