Hey guys, I am planning to start brewing all grain very soon, albeit I'm still on the search for the right kit for quality/price to buy.

I have found some interesting deals on the internet such as the following ones:

http://www.art-of-brewing.co.uk/acatalog/BEER-BEGINNERS-EQUIPMENT-STARTER-KIT-308.html#SID=17

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Home-Brew...g-With-Barrel-Keg-CO2-Injection-/231071730087

Pricewise they seem great as well as the apparent fairly good essential basics that both have (especially the ebay one).

However, I am afraid that just plastics could potentially break easily and quickly and possibly affecting the quality of my future brews. Anyhow, I thought that I could anyway buy me some particular extras to add to complement it (such as a glass carboy fermenter).

I live in the UK (London), if anyone knows different alternatives or even has second-hand stuff to sell, or has any kind of recommendations, please let me know!

I don't have any sources as I am on the other side of the pond. The first link is a bare minimum kit. The second one is better. Both are only a portion of the equipment you will need for traditional all grain. If you go BIAB you will need a large pot and a grain bag. 10 gallons would be my minimum. As you get into it you will be adding more items.

FWIW, I always advise against glass fermenters. Look at this before you make your decision: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=376523

Let's start with a few questions!

Have you watched someone homebrew? Assuming not, you will need to think about the process you will use to brew. The kits you link to are for fermenting.

Simplest, most cost effective (based on the size of the kits you linked) AG is BIAB. Next is cooler MLT with single kettle. From there you've got all in one single brewing equipment to 2 & 3 tier setups. From there you need to decide how you will cool your beer- no cool method (time), ice bath, IC, CFC, plate chiller.

As for your question on the plastic, no worries, plenty of brewers use them. I did as well and have upgraded to SS conical but still sometimes use buckets. I've used glass carboys too with no problem but there are folks here who fear them with stories if broken glass that should be considered as well.

So few more things to consider too. Plus if you can meet up with a home brewer or club , do that and see the brew magic!!
