I am planning on buying some of Hach's buffer pillows and wanted to check with you guys to see if anyone might be interested in splitting a larger order.

These are what I am looking to get.

With shipping, total cost for 50 of each would be 54.49. If splitting with one person, their cost would be $27.25 and I'll take care of shipping to you (lower 48).

I'm looking to keep 25 of each for myself but If there is a lot of interest in this, they also sell them in 250 count packages.

I guess it depends on interest. If 5 people are interested right away I might wait a couple weeks for the other 3-5. If it's only one or 2 people then I could order in the next couple days.

Interesting. What's the value of these rather than buying a large bottle. I may be in.

For me it's mostly ease of storage but also price to a lesser extent. With these I only need to keep a gallon of distilled water on hand (which I need anyway) instead of quarts of other solutions. I've got the ol' small NYC apartment problem. They also have a 2 year shelf life so I can have quite a few on hand and not really have to worry about them.

As far a price, the size/cost that I've seen pretty readily available are the 1 quart bottles that run $40 for both. Assuming 1oz per calibration that is $1.25 per use. With an order of 50, the pillows come out to $1.09 a use. With the 250ct order it comes out to $.75 per use. It's certainly not where I would start shaving brewing costs but coupled with the storage benefit it's worth it for me if I can split it up.

I don't got through storage solution quite as quickly as I do the buffer solution so I wasn't planning on it. I tend to only top off what is left in the storage bottle for good or bad so 25 ml is really more than I would need per use.

If it turns out nobody is interested I may go that route or get the packs of 15 of each. Just looking to share in a small cost savings.

Do you already have storage solutions pillows that you could add to the deal? I need all three.

I could certainly add them to the order and save you the shipping costs from Hach. Do you know the qty you'd be looking at?

Right now I have one guy that pm'd me about wanting to split and it sounds like Wired and possibly Sandstorm are interested. If I can get confirmation from you guys I could possible just place and order for (2) 50 packs of each and split them 4 ways. With the addition storage solution pillows for Wired.

Works for me. Can you provide a final cost break down here or in a PM? I am assuming PayPal transaction?

Let me make sure I understand the qty's everyone is looking for.

wired:
(25) 7.0
(25) 4.0
(25) Storage

Sandstorm:
(25) 7.0
(25) 4.0
(25) Storage

PM'd Individual:
(25) 7.0
(25) 4.0

Myself:
(25) 7.0
(25) 4.0

If this is correct, I'll post the amounts due for each individual on here. If all is good, I will order tomorrow or Friday and let you know once they get to me. I'll PM you my email and you can just Paypal me at that point and I'll send them on their way.

So we are not splitting the storage 4 ways? That's quite a bit of of storage solution. Why not split those too.

If you add everything back up it comes out a little off from rounding fractions of cents. Such is life.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have some Hach pH buffer pillows available as well. 14 each of pH 4, 7, and 10 in original packaging. They have an expiration date of 2014, but have been stored properly and are most likely fine to use.

If you're concerned about them being stale, I have a calibrated pH meter in my lab I can use to check one of each. Make an offer.
