Everything ready to go

Swmbo surprised I could actually hit my temp (actually so was I)

Swmbo enjoying my first beer, a nut brown extract (she's a ham)

Ed's Haus Pale happily bubbling away the next morning.

Everything went fairly well, my efficiency was only 68%, so I need to work on that. Id like to thank everyone for their help, without somewhere to ask questions that get answered, this wouldn't have been possible. I had a few more pics, but I didn't know you could only post four.

Checking grain temp

Initial temp

Rolling boil

Yes, I need a wort chiller, I did get it down to temp in 20 minutes.

Thanks for the tip shafferpilot.

I looks like things went well. That is an odd shaped pot though, is it top heavy?

I have that same pot, and its not really top-heavy. At first I thought that the spigot on the side would be great, but it doen't really work because the hot break etc after the boit is usually right at the level of the spigot.

It's a turkey fryer that's supposed to be safe from tipping over, of course it was no good to brew in, so I removed the "safety" part of it. It's not ideal but it works for now.

That's some great beer porn.

I just said outloud "Ohhh that's sexy". My wife come over and asks, "what's sexy". I scroll down and she says "Oh, so someone else's wife is sexy"...I said "No, I'm talking about this"...I scroll to the picture of the full brew pot...She hits me and says I'm a nerd..

Thanks for sharing
