Default fermenting in a cornie

If I were to remove one of the posts and all the seals and the tube, would an airlock with a rubber stopper of some kind fit in the hole?

Just a thought?

Tap#1 = Beer
Tap#2 = Beer

THey change to often to keep up with the Sig.
