Default Brass -vs- Stainless

does anyone know the pros and cons of using brass opposed to stainless steel? im wondering because i used a brass braided hose in my mash tun and i dont want to waste a whole batch of wort due to metalic taste. what is the best way to get rid of the metalic taste before my first batch in the mlt?
