----------------------------
Single Infusion, Medium Body, Batch Sparge

Notes:
------
Batch sparge twice with 5 gallons @ 170 each time to collect 13.5 - 13.75 gallons.

I had hoped that this would end up a bit more malty than it did, but it is still quite good and dangerously quaffable at 6% ABV.

I've got a 5.5 gallon batch of this in my primary right now, using wyeast 3638 - bavarian wheat (not BW II).

I used my newly constructed 5 gallon round cooler MLT to mash in, sparged twice to get ~ 6.5 gallons and boiled. My FG was 1.060 so the efficiency of my setup and technique was pretty good. I think I actually used about 10 ounces of rice hulls because I was worried about getting a stuck mash.

Anyone able to convert this to a partial mash for me?

Just wanted to put in an update, this beer turned out magnificent after a month or so of keg aging. Fantastic! I think I would bump up the hops just a little next time, though, and I'm not even a hophead.

Glad to hear that you liked it! This is most certainly on my list of beer to brew again this year.
