Default Using steel cut oats

I was just wondering if anyone has tried using steel cut oats in a stout instead of rolled oats?

If you do... I think you have to bake them for 30 minutes or so before brewing w/ them.

I might try to make two stouts one with steel cut, and one with rolled or flaked oats. See if there is any difference between the two.

I've used both and never noticed a difference (aside from the little bit of extra work required). But don't let that stop you from making twice as much stout.

I'll try both ways, probably wont make much difference. As long as the beer comes out drinkable I will be happy
