First off, I would like to thank everyone that posts here. They made my brew day go by pretty easily (aprox 4hrs). Only a couple of small hic-cups. I spilt about 1/2lb of grain when my hopper fell off my mill and had a leaky IC (I did a dry check before placing in the kettle so it didn't effect the beer at all).

The process for batch sparging was really easy. I can't believe I was intimidated by AG for so long. Mash Temp was 152 and dropped to 150 at the end. Missed my OG (predicted--1.055 vs actual--1.058), but it is possible I boiled too much off. Beersmith states my eff at right around 75% so I can't complain.

Probably the best thing about AG is the feeling you get knowing that you controlled almost every aspect to making your beer.

Congrats on your first of many. I love doing all grain. I like having control over the beer. Its freakin' sweet.

Got to try this for the first time last night.

It is still a tad undercarbed in the keg but all I can say is wow. This beer tastes cleaner than my previous beers (mostly extract) so I'm wondering if what I was tasting in my previous beers was "extract twang". Also, this is my first time using Amarillo and they give an awesome flavor and boquet.

My wife (who usually doesn't like pale ales) even asked me to rebrew this one for our next batch.
