I'm looking to upgrade my equipment and can't decide between a grain mill or new brew pot. I currently crush my grain at my LHBS but was thinking about saving some money by buying bulk grain. I have a 10 gallon brew pot with no valve and my immersion chiller doesn't fit well ( pot is short and wide). Any thoughts?

A ball lock valve isn't much. Mill + Grains & a weldless ball lock valve. My homebrew shop offered to drill the hole for me if I brought my kettle in, so maybe you wouldn't have to buy the step bit.

You haven't told us what you have other than the pot with no valve.
Do you have a stir plate and propagate your yeast to correct pitch rate?
Do you temperature control your fermentation?
Those are both things I would get ahead of a grain mill... especially if you can crush for free at your LHBS.
