I got a bunch of supplies and ingredients at a yard sale today cheap. Problem is I only do all grain so if I could get some help devising a recipe for said ingredients that would be great. Pic of ingredient list is below ImageUploadedByHome Brew1405177684.533080.jpg

Do you have some 2 Row on hand? You could basically do a partial mash and supplement the rest with that 3.3lbs of extract. Maybe do a stout or porter. Use all of the chocolate, caramel and either some/all of the roast barley and black malt. If you do not have more extract or 2 Row to supplement, you are probably going to need to do a smaller batch than 5 gallons.

Bitter with the Northern Brewer. Throw the goldings in somewhere between 30-0 depending on if you want to add more bittering.

Could throw the heavy toast cubes in during secondary for a week or two for some additional flavor. I would not use the oak chips personally.

Add some base malt and use the choc and caramel malt with the hops and you've got a mean brown ale or porter. Depends on how big of a batch but peruse the data base and see what you like. Safe to say between 7-10#'s of base malt is enough for a 5 gal batch.

Yeah man I do AG all the time, but I want to use this DME which was a dollar, but I've never used it before. I know the process but how much base should I add for 5 gallon? Should I consider it 3.3 lbs like I would all grain?

I'm going to be making a Maple Porter tomorrow with these ingredients plus 6# of 2 row. The question I have is when to add the maple syrup
