Default 3 Liter Chimay Bottles at Grocery Store

I was in the local grocery store today and I saw that they had 3 liter Chimay (blue) bottles for sale. 80 bucks and it's yours. That's more expensive than any of the wines they sell there.

Anyone else see this giant Chimay bottles?

Yeah, I think that's their "Grand Cru," that's why it's expensive. The Magnum bottles allow less oxidation to take place, allowing the owner to store it for years and years, like a vintage wine.

Alan over at Hair of the Dog is fond of big beers in big bottles. Makes it tough to enjoy his ales by yourself, but they age well.

I think that the big bottles like that are dumb, and don't know why any one would buy one

Was that a local store or a chain, i want to look for them around me.
