I pronounce it 'pucaaaaauuuuhhhns', but anyways, is there a simple way to impart pecan flavor in an ale besides pecan flavoring? I dis the pecan flavoring but it smelled so strong I was worries it might have too much kick
 
Yeah…you can use actual pecans. There are explanations of how to go about it in the "regular" forums here, just do a bit of searching. I did a wild rice + pecan + corn + molasses ale one time, using techniques I found on here. Came out pretty good. Very nutty. The molasses was a bad call, but a few months of mellowing and it was quite good.
