Very interesting read. I'm a bit skeptical myself, as I'm not aware of many fossilized yeast digs.

It certainly could be legit, but either way, it's a great way to start a buzz about your beer.

I remember this! Those dudes kept coming on and asking if they should repitch since they hadn't seen any fermentation during the first 12 hours. I think it was Yuri who told them that they should have used a starter.

So, sounds to me like someone dumped the guts out of an amberized 30 million year old bee into a vial of yeast, the yeast did not die as a result and is now being propagated as a unique new never been used before "strain".
Real smoothe sales pitch. Now they will want to sell you a pint of their "ancient" beer for 10 bucks.

I have to agree it is interesting, but probably just a marketing ploy. Since I don't know, I won't say either way, but would love to try some.
