Default Will all yeasts look the same in a petri dish?

I tried collecting some wild yeast using the technique in this article: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/entries/...ild-yeast.html

I have these white blobs beginning to form that are more wide-spread and flat than the yeast blobs depicted in the article. Will all wild yeast look thick, white, and form streaks? I have a feeling that I didn't get anything this time, but I'm being hopeful!
