Default Should I go electric or propane?

I'm making a 36 gallon pot to use for BIAB and I'm insulating and cladding it. I don't have good access to a 220v outlet because I rent a basement suite so I'm just wondering if a 110v element or two of them would be enough to bring at most 30 gallons to a boil in an appropriate amount of time. Thanks for any help!

No way. Nowhere near enough power on 120V. Better stick with much smaller batches.

Go to this link and get the electric heat spreadsheet. Fill it in with the appropriate information and see what it takes.
