Hi there !

Is there any disadvantages by using Deionized water instead of distilled water for brewing ?

They are essentially the same thing. Their difference is the technique used to create each one. Both should have no ionic content.

Since we do want a modest level of certain ions in our brewing water, using either of these waters is overkill in comparison to RO water. RO water has very low levels of ions and may be less costly than distilled or DI water.

Deionized simply means that the ions have been removed. There are two ways to do this: distillation and ion exchange. Thus DI includes distilled and distilled is one kind of DI.
