First mistake already and I haven't even had anything to drink.
Forgot to set the alarm on my thermometer and the strike water is now at 200* instead of 164*. Guess I'll pour some out and then add cold water. LOL
Ok 75 min mass done and SG is 1.044 right where BeerSmith called it. But I lost .4 gal to the grain. Must be the oats as I usually only loose about 0.25-0.3 gallons to 4 lbs of barley.
Ok all done. Everything went as planned
Estimated OG = 59 Measured OG = 59
Volume into fermenter 1.95 gallons
Lost .4g to the grain
Lost .6g to the boil
Lost .1 to pre-ferment trub
It's now sitting in the "freezer" at about 65*
