I just purchased a Milwaukee PH56 meter. Do I calibrate it before every brew session? The instructions dont really say and I am new to pH meters.

Yes calibrate it before every brew session and try to get the sample as close to 75F as possible to prolong the life of the probe. Also, make sure to store the probe in the storage solution which will also help prolong it's lifespan.
