Hey guys I'm keen to buy a Beer making software package but am not sure which one is best.

Any suggestions ?

Promash is the biggest seller but there are others like BeerSmith and Beer Tools Pro. I have Promash and BeerTools and I perfer Beertools.

What are the pros of using a software? I'm realizing there's a lot to this and some of you guys are really all about it.. I was thinking I may start a micro-brewery out of my home.. Now I'm thinking I'll stick to just making tasty brews for me and friends.. Then I was slapped in the face by the cold stick of reality - I haven't even brewed a pot of coffee this year.

I use SUDS. It is a shareware program. has a few bugs in it but I like it

For a shareware program it costs the same as the good packages.
