Default Measurement of dry ingredients

Receipie called for 11 oz. of carmal malt .I used a measuring cup and measured out 11 oz in the cup. Now that I think of it did I need to weigh this? Am I royally screwed?

Yes, measurements are by weight, not volume. Not sure how far off you will be, but you might as well roll with it.

Always weigh your ingredients. Your not screwed but you'll want to invest in a digital scale so you can acuurately measure/weigh your ingredients.

Yeah measurements are by weight. My guess is 11 oz (liquid space) of grain might be just a little low but generally in the ballpark of 11 oz dry weight... Relax it'll be fine, def not royally screwed.

1 fl oz = 1.111 dry oz so you are not off by that much
