I tried to google this from my phone but my googlefu isn't strong today. In beersmith for the mash procedure it is stating that I should mash at 152 for 60 with a 2 minute rinse. Could someone enlighten me on the 2 minute wash part?

Thank you!

A two minute rinse? In Beersmith? I have no idea what that means and I've never even seen anything like that for an option. Can you post a screenshot so we can see what you're looking at?

Absolutely! It is only on the mobile ap, the desktop
Version says nothing of the sorts

Oh, 2 minute RISE! I get it!!!!!

You really don't have a rise, but you must have a setting saying that the temperature would take two minutes to rise to 152 for a mash temp.

I only use the "rise" part in step mashing, so it's got to be a setting you have there.

So it is the 2 minute lauter time? It reads differently on the desktop version. I thought its the time it took to add the grains in.

I copied and pasted what it reads here

0 min - Mash In (2 min rise, hold 150.0 F for 75 min)

Add 19.45 qt of water at 163.3 F
1:17 hours - Mash Complete
