Default New to brewing, could use advice

so i make hard cider. i just made a 5 gallon batch of cinnamon/maple syrup and 2 1 gal batches of carmel/vanilla. after its done i heat it to about 150 deg F to kill the yeast (good/bad idea?)
i also want to start bottling and carbonating so i could use some advice. thank you

If you've killed the yeast you won't be able to carbonate in the bottles. No need to heat the mix.

make it easy on yourself and get a tank of CO2 and carbonate that way.
