I would at least get one as soon as possible. Did you happen to take one initially, when you assembled it all? The EC-1118 should definitely dominate the US-05 and ferment this kit to bone dry. What brand kit are you working with by the way?

OG on 7-7-13 was 1.066 at 78 degrees F

SG on 7-10-13 is 1.018 at 80 degrees F

It looks like i am losing gas through the gasket where the airlock fits in the fermenter lid. Thus no airlock bubbles.

The kit is a world vineyard winexpert moscato kit.

It tastes OK at this point (3 days old)

Well I am back to report on my mistake.

It seems as thong the wine finished out fine. SG on 7-21 measured .994 which was right at target.

Drinking my first bottle tonight 2 weeks after bottling and it tastes fine. I am not a connoisseur, but it tastes pretty good to me. Pretty much what I expected when I started.
