Hey all I am just curious to why possibly my homebrew is giving me deadly gas. Maybe it is my new seafood diet but I am beggining to think it is because of my homebrew. I am still fairly new to this and I suppose what I am asking is there anyway to reduce the toot?

Beano my friend. You may be drinking a fair bit of yeast if you aren't pouring to the shoulder and leaving it in the bottle or cold crashing it out for kegging. Not going to hurt you and is a good source of Vit B but gets some people pretty gassy.

I usually pour all the beer out of my bottles and only leave the gunky goop of yeast in the bottom. I think next time I will be sure to leave some beer in the bottom so I do not drink the slurry yeast again. Vitamin B? More like vitamin gonna B outta my @$$ soon... I regret drinking the bottom. Now I know thanks everyone for your input and help

Think of your lower bowels as another fermenter for the yeast in your beer, and your tookis as an airlock. Lots of delicious sugars and other fermentables for the yeasties. Yeast + fermentables = the brown notes.

Make sure to clean up the skid marks.

Is there a nomination form for some sort of hall of fame of fantastic HBT posts?
